Baharın en güzel ve yaygın çiçeklerinden biri olan Krizatem’e Kythira’nın hemen hemen her yerinde rastlayabilirisiniz. Çiçek açmadan önce yeşeren filizleri yenilebilir ve bu bitkiye çoğunlukla adanın güney kesiminde rastlanır. Ada’nın kuzey kesiminde ise beyaz olan papatyaya kriazantem adı verilir bunun sebebi de bu çiçeğin daha çok tercih ediliyor olmasıdır. Latince Adı: Chrysanthemum coronarium, Χρυσάνθεμον το στεφανωτικόν Familya: Compositae Kythira’da Bilinan Adı: Μαντηλίδα(Mantilida) (Ν. Κύθηρα), Μαντηλίδι (Mantilidi), Μαργαρίτα (Margarita) Yunanistan’nın Diğer Bölgelerinde Bilinen Adı: Μαντηλίδα (Mantilida) , Αγριοχρυσάνθεμο (Agriochrisanthemo) Toplama: Bu çiçeğe adanın hemen hemen heryerinde rastlayabiliriz. Çiçek açma dönemi Temmuz ayından Eylül ayına kadardır. Çiçek açar açmaz toplayabiliriz. Özellikleri: Bitki, aromatik olarak kullanıldığı gibi acımtrak bir tadı ve balgam söktürücü, sakinleştirici ve mide rahatsızlıklarına iyi gelen özellikleri de bulunmaktadır.
