Πολύ κοινό φυτό στην Ελλάδα και τα Κύθηρα. Ο Πλίνιος την ονόμαζε «τροφή των φτωχών». Βρίσκεται πολύ συχνά στις άκρες των δρόμων, Χρησιμοποιείται φαρμακευτικά αλλά και σαν λαχανικό από την αρχαιότητα μέχρι σήμερα. Επιστημονική ονομασία: Malva sylvestris, Μάλβα η άγρια Οικογένεια: Malvaceae Κυθηραϊκή ονομασία: Μολόχα, Αγριομολόχα Ονομασία σε άλλα μέρη της Ελλάδας: Αγριομολόχα, Μολόχα, Αμπελόχα, Μαλάχη, Αμπελόχη, Μουλάγκα Συλλογή: Θα τη βρούμε σε χωράφια να φύεται συνήθως όπου υπάρχει η τσουκνίδα.  Κατάλληλη περίοδος για τη συλλογή της είναι από τον Ιούνιο μέχρι το Σεπτέμβριο. Ιδιότητες: Χρησιμοποιείται πάνω σε ερεθισμένο δέρμα ως παυσίπονο. Μαλακτική, καταπραϋντική του πεπτικού συστήματος, καθαρτική. Από τη ρίζα της μολόχας παρασκευάζεται αλοιφή για διάφορες δερματικές παθήσεις.
