Am Eingang von \u201eKato Hora\u201c herrscht der L\u00f6we vom \u201eHeiligen Markus\u201c, Symbol der Ruhigsten Demokratie von Venedig. Im Dorf bildet ein Platz den Treffpunkt von dem alle Wege aus beginnen. Auf dem Platz mit seinen gigantischen Ahornb\u00e4umen und den traditionellen Caf\u00e9s, ragt die \u201eAgios Sostis\u201c Kirche empor. Weiter unten sind die nat\u00fcrlichen Quellen, welche die Wasserpl\u00e4tze beliefern, wo Hausfrauen f\u00fcr gew\u00f6hnlich ihre Kleidung waschen. Die Gegend wurde um einen kleinen See herum erbaut, welcher das Zuhause vieler Enten ist.\r\n\r\nEin Spaziergang durch das Dorf, wird Sie zu \u201eFonissa\u201c bringen, einer versteckten Schlucht mit dem allzu bekannten Wasserfall des gleichen Namens. Wenn Sie weiterlaufen werden Sie zu Wasserm\u00fchlen und weiteren Wasserf\u00e4llen gelangen. Es gibt insgesamt 23 M\u00fchlen entlang der Schlucht, die nach \u201eKalami\u201c, einem rauen jedoch sehr entz\u00fcckenden Strand, optimal f\u00fcr eine \u00dcbernachtung, f\u00fchren.\r\n\r\n\u201eKato Hora\u201c, die wohlbekannte venezianische Siedlung der Insel, wie bereits oben erw\u00e4hnt, befindet sich am westlichen Ende des Dorfes. Sie wurde am Rande einer Klippe erbaut und ist voll mit byzantinischen Kirchen. Die Bauart der Geb\u00e4ude hier ist fantastisch. Mylopotamos wurde in seinem Dasein \u00f6ffentlich zu einer traditionellen Siedlung erkl\u00e4rt. Sie werden bemerken, dass aus diesem Grund alle neuen H\u00e4user und Geb\u00e4ude im traditionellen Stil gebaut wurden und, dass sich das Dorf so jedes Jahr mehr und mehr versch\u00f6nert. Von hier aus beginnt die Stra\u00dfe zur \u201eAgia Sofia\u201c-H\u00f6hle, einer spektakul\u00e4ren Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeit an den felsigen K\u00fcsten im Westen der Insel, die Sie faszinieren wird. Der Anblick ist verbl\u00fcffend und erinnert an Santorinis Caldera (einem Einsturzkrater). Von der gleichen Stra\u00dfe aus kann man den anschaulichen Strand \u201eLimnionas\u201c erreichen, wo sich eine kleine gesch\u00fctzte Bucht und ein dem Wind abgewandter Hafen an dem Bote anlegen k\u00f6nnen, befinden.\r\n\r\nIm Dorf der Legenden und Traditionen werden Sie die Einwohner mit den \u00f6rtlichen Geschichten bekanntmachen.
