Die Kapelle von Agios Nikolaos Krasas befindet sich südwestlich der Kirche von Myrtidiotissa in Mavros Vrachos, in der Nähe der Felsenküste. Gemäß der Überlieferung segelte Kapitän Kasimatis 1619 mit seinem weinbeladenen Schiff in der Nähe der Westküste der Insel. Er wurde von einem Sturm bedroht. Er bat Sankt Nikolaus, den Schutzpatron der Seeleute, um Hilfe und versprach, dass er ihm nach seiner Rettung eine Kirche widmen würde. Der Kapitän legte sicher an der Felsenküste von Mavros Vrachos an. Er war überzeugt, dass er seine Rettung Sankt Nikolaus zu verdanken hatte und beschloss, sein Versprechen zu erfüllen. Also erbaute die kleine Kapelle im Namen von Sankt Nikolaus. Um den für den Bau der kleinen Kapelle benötigten Schlamm herzustellen, verwendete er statt Wasser den Wein aus der Ladung seines Schiffes. Daher trägt die Kapelle den Namen Agios Nikolaos Krasas (Sankt Nikolaus des Weines).
